Thelma's Cranberry Pudding Crockpot

1.50 cup flour
0.50 teaspoon salt
2.00 teaspoon baking soda
0.33 cup boiling water
0.50 cup dark unsulphered molasses
2.00 cup whole cranberries
0.50 cup walnuts; chopped
1 sauce:
1.00 cup confectioners sugar
0.50 cup heavy cream
0.50 cup butter
1.00 teaspoon vanilla

PUDDING: Dissolve soda in boiling water; Stir into flour, salt and molasses;blend. Fold in cranberries & nuts; Pour into greased bake pan & cover (can use coffee can covered w/tin foil); Pour 1/2 cup water into crock pot & steam on high 3 to 4 hrs. BUTTER SAUCE: Mix all ingredients and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Spoon over pudding slices when serving.
